The Branch Church is a Gospel-Centered Community Living on Mission

GOSPEL-CENTERED

To be gospel-centered means to focus on Jesus, who He is and what He has done. This is everything to us, and "of first importance." Therefore, our friendships, gatherings, service, events, and life are all centered and motivated by the person and work of Jesus.

COMMUNITY

We are called to be communal creatures; The local church is not merely a place that we attend, but a people to whom we belong. Living in community is a radical call that involves getting messy, being vulnerable, confessing sins, and growing in our relationship with the Lord and one another.

LIVING ON MISSION

Practically, this means we want people who know Jesus, to help others come to know Jesus. Some of Jesus’ last words to the church were to make disciples. It’s about bringing the gospel to bear on all of life for all people amid life’s normal rhythms, things like celebrating, eating, working, blessing, and suffering.

We believe that Jesus is Everything, Your Story Matters, and People Matter.

JESUS IS EVERYTHING

Jesus' incarnation, life, ministry, death, and resurrection means everything to us. Jesus, while we were far off, dead in our trespasses and sin, sought us out, and laid down His life for us, paying our sin debt, and crediting to us His righteousness. Because of this, we now have a future and hope because He has reconciled us back to Himself.

YOUR STORY MATTERS

Jesus laying down His life for us, is part of a story of redemption God is writing for His Creation. As His creation, we too have a story; one that is intersecting His story. So, whether we are 5 or 50, as long as we have breath in our lungs, God is not done with us. We have a story that matters, a story of how our day-to-day is being used to advance His Kingdom.

PEOPLE MATTER

When we understand that Jesus sought us out, and that He has given us a story that truly matters in advancing His Kingdom, we can't help but seek others out as well. We love others because we were first loved. All of humanity are image-bearers of God, so they have intrinsic value. In that light, people just matter, period; daily and eternally.
